3 Considerations When Pricing & Packaging Your Nutrition Programs

Speaking from experience, setting up nutrition packages wrong will cost you money and decrease client retention.

You don’t want to start at zero clients every month, and you don’t want to feel like you are selling clients to sign up again every time they come in.

How to price and package nutrition programs is the most popular question we get asked during free calls at HSN Mentoring.

Here are three things you need to keep in mind when you are pricing and packaging your nutrition programs:

1. Make Sure Your Timing Is Right!

You don’t want a nutrition package that is too short or too long. If it’s too short, it will be tough for clients to see the value of ongoing nutrition coaching, and if it’s too long, it will be tough to get clients to commit. At Healthy Steps Nutrition, we offer a 12-week intro program where clients meet bi-weekly or monthly with a coach and have weekly check-ins via HSN app messages. From there, they graduate to ongoing coaching, an ongoing monthly membership.

2. Make It Easy For Someone To Get Started

Once you determine your nutrition only prices, you want to make it easy for someone to get started with both. This means bundling your nutrition and fitness memberships together, so it is one charge for both. You need to create a clear client journey to the best path for success when new clients get started at your facility. This path should include fitness and nutrition.

3. Create A Consistent Message That Nutrition Is A Core Offering

If you want clients and your followers to associate nutrition with your brand, you need to create a consistent message that nutrition is important. Do you talk about nutrition regularly? Is your entire staff on the same page? Are you posting nutrition content consistently.

Gyms using the HSN Mentoring platform are seeing an increase in nutrition-only clients during and after COVID. Why?

Because they are posting the content that we provide monthly, hosting monthly nutrition talks, and making nutrition a consistent part of their message.

People know they need help dialing in their nutrition, and they can’t do it alone. The question is, are they coming to you, a competitor down the street, or an online company?

Now is the time to be thinking about how to add the missing piece of the puzzle in so many gyms, nutrition coaching. Join me next week for a FREE webinar on increasing sign-ups for hybrid packages (nutrition and fitness). Register to join live or catch the recording >>HERE.

Hope to see you there!
