To build Mental Resilience:

  • Reframe negatives to positives and failures to learning experiences

  • Breathe through difficulties as you refocus on the goal

  • Engage in positive self-talk by repeating empowering statements that are supportive not condemning

  • Surround yourself with people who are part of the solution not perpetuating the problem. i.e. inventory

Helping Clients

  • Take time to talk with your members and hear their stories.

  • Teach them the Refocus-Reframe-Repeat exercise.

  • Hold them accountable. When they succeed reinforce the positive through member incentives and recognition programs. When they fail, offer potential solutions and remind them they are a work in progress.
