To build Mental Resilience:
Reframe negatives to positives and failures to learning experiences
Breathe through difficulties as you refocus on the goal
Engage in positive self-talk by repeating empowering statements that are supportive not condemning
Surround yourself with people who are part of the solution not perpetuating the problem. i.e. inventory
Helping Clients
Take time to talk with your members and hear their stories.
Teach them the Refocus-Reframe-Repeat exercise.
Hold them accountable. When they succeed reinforce the positive through member incentives and recognition programs. When they fail, offer potential solutions and remind them they are a work in progress.
